Historian, writer, reader/reviewer, and all-around nerd of many fandoms, DJ is currently working on a fairytale apocalypse novel that features a re-envisioning of American history, including the founding of the capital all the way up through the Cold War. Her other main writing project is a look at what would happen if the Crusades had taken place in space.

In addition to her novels and short stories, she also writes book and media reviews for ThreeIfBySpace.net. She tutors and does workshops on historical topics, how to do research for non-history majors, and good historical worldbuilding by request and at several conventions.
